About Us
Building the Next Generation of Critical Metals
Vitalis Metals is a Canadian critical-metals development company focused on converting high-potential copper, cobalt, nickel, and battery-metal opportunities into real, bankable mining operations. Built on a foundation of proven mine builders, disciplined financial strategy, and advanced hydrometallurgical innovation, Vitalis Metals brings the full chain of expertise required to advance complex assets – from early vision to extraction.
Vitalis Metals is led by a team of proven mine builders, financial strategists, and metallurgical innovators with decades of experience developing, financing, and operating large-scale mining projects.
Our 3 Pillars
Mine-Building Leadership
We deploy the expertise of seasoned mine builders and technical executives who have designed, built, and commissioned world-class operations across North America, Africa, and Europe. Their experience allows us to move projects efficiently through resource definition, engineering, permitting, and construction.
Strong Financing Capability
Backed by industrial investors and capital-market expertise, we structure projects to be fully financeable, from seed investment to large-scale institutional funding. Our approach ensures that every asset we advance is technically de-risked, economically validated, and attractive to global financial partners.
Advanced Metallurgical Innovation
With access to next-generation hydrometallurgical processes, including the zero-discharge Re-2Ox technology, we can refine copper, cobalt, nickel, manganese, and other battery metals into high-purity products aligned with the needs of the energy-transition supply chain.
Why Critical Metals & Sector Outlook Matter
Copper and cobalt are at the center of the global energy transition. According to the IEA 2024-2025 Global Critical Minerals Outlook, copper demand is expected to rise by up to 55% by 2040, driven by EVs, renewable power, and massive grid expansion. Meanwhile, cobalt demand for batteries is projected to double by 2040, despite improvements in chemistries.
On the supply side, constraints are intensifying. The IEA warns that announced copper supply will meet only ~70% of projected demand by 2035, creating a multi-million-ton gap. For cobalt, the Cobalt Institute’s 2024 report shows the market returning to structural deficit early in the 2030s, as current investments are insufficient to meet long-term needs.
The key trend is clear: new mines cannot come online fast enough. Most major copper projects take 12-20 years from discovery to production. At the same time, battery and EV manufacturers now require clean, high-purity, low-carbon metal supply chains, accelerating the shift toward hydrometallurgy, recycling, and zero-discharge technologies.
Here’s the bottom line:
The world is heading toward sustained supply pressure. Over the next decade, the winners will be companies that can deliver technically de-risked, properly financed, and environmentally advanced critical-metal projects.
